How well do you know us?

Situated in the heart of Black Rock Village we are centrally located to service the Bayside suburbs and surrounding area. Book in for a consultation, Clinical Pilates class or Remedial Massage and then enjoy a coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner at one of our friendly neighbouring cafes and restaurants and bars (don’t forget to tell them we sent you!).

You’ll find us in the old bank building directly next to the traffic lights and pedestrian crossing on Bluff Road.

Our clinic is light and airy, clean and hygienic. We sanitise after every client and wear masks during consultations to protect our community. We have three treatment rooms and two spacious well equipped studios to help you physically be your best.

We pride ourselves on having an holistic approach to total body health by going above and beyond the basics to treat and prevent injuries so that you can get on with your life. Our therapists have all been professionally trained in numerous areas and care about providing a friendly, supportive, calming environment to allow you to achieve Total Balance.

Our physiotherapists utilise the most appropriate and advanced techniques to gain and maintain your optimal physical health. We treat a large range of health and fitness issues including:

• Sports injuries

• Spinal and Posture

• Post Surgery Rehabilitation

• Physiotherapy for seniors with focus on osteoporosis and arthritis

• Women’s Health – including post and prenatal and continence

We also offer Clinical Pilates six days a week, which focuses attention on core postural muscles that keep the human body balanced and provide support for the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and of alignment of the spine and strengthen the deep torso and abdominal muscles. By awakening these muscles the rest of the body is able to gain strength and will correct posture and movement patterns without causing injuries.

Classes at Total Balance Physiotherapy are limited to four clients and are run by our qualified physiotherapists so that you receive the appropriate level of input, guidance, feedback, and education required to achieve your goals. They are not one size fits all and although you may be in a class environment each exercise is tailored to your individual program. An Initial Pilates assessment is required before commencing a group session.

Other services include Remedial massage, Running Assessment, TPI Golf Screening, Real Time Ultrasound and Dry Needling. We also have a wonderful Psychologist, Leah Smith, from Opening Doors Psychology who consults from one of our bayview rooms.

We look forward to welcoming you.
